It's the elote for me! This vibrant atmosphere is home to a modern take on Mexican food, known for their tacos and 100+ tequila options. But they also have craft margaritas made with fresh juices and 100% blue agave tequila. The menu is pretty extensive, which is great for options! But if you can't decide, here's what we had: Taquito flight, ceviche, empanadas, carne asada, Pollo asado, beef Taco & burrito VIVA has so many flights! They have a taquito flight, taco flight, enchiladas trio, dip trio, ceviche trio & a dessert flight--which comes out on a wooden airplane! We were stuffed but plan to return for that dessert flight!!!

Experience was wonderful-- from the kind host to our server, to a gorgeous indoor and outdoor setting, and a huge menu with tons of delicious and unique menu items and great prices! We had the 3 frozen margarita flight special- around $11 on Mondays-- Texas rice, Texas style (chicken, shrimp, and steak all great!), and the taco salad with romaine added! Salsa was delicious- they offer to put cheese sauce on everything.. definitely worth checking out! Ample parking, great date night spot! Also loved all of the flight options- from taquito flights to taco flights- so creative!

Viva is mixing up some of the best margs in town. This isn't your average restaurant with its own trendy vibes and modern touches. Great service. Everything about the dining experience is top tier. Great chips & salsa. The Texas dip was super delish. A must try! The flautas were crisp and flavorful. A new menu item is the Birria pizza. Super tasty and tender with the perfect dipping consomé. Finished everything off with a dessert flight. But lets talk about those amazing margaritas... The flight options are plentiful, so taste testing is a must. I loved the Patron flight. Each was bold yet smooth. The visual of the flights is an added bonus making it the perfect choice when celebrating. But my favorite drink was the Pineapple Habanero Margarita. Tanteo habanero Tequila brings the heat paired with the fresh margarita mix and pineapple juice. Fabulous!

Food-4.75/5 Service-5/5 Atmosphere-5/5 Drinks-5/5 I am kicking myself for never coming here before and I think this should be your next stop for dinner! You walk in and are greeted by a ton of exciting decor and photo opportunities. We asked how long the wait was and were initially sad when she said 1 hour but I am so happy we waited. Once we were seated the place boomed with a wonderful live artist and the food was so good! I started out with the flight to Mexico drink flight and it came in a cute little plane. We ordered guacamole for the appetizer and it was fresh and so tasty! For my entree I got the mixed fajitas and they actually came out sizzling (I feel like I have been to so many places lately where they don't) and they were great! I am tempted to go two nights in a row it was so good. Put this on your list of must try's asap.

One of the most fun places in KC! Lively atmosphere that includes good spots for photo ops, along with good music that included a live singer while we were there. Be prepared for a wait as it seems to be quite popular but I'll say it's well worth it. One thing I admire about this place is them thinking a bit outside the box with their dishes, not the run of the mill Mexican food you find most places. For instance, I haven't been many places that do Quesabirria, and theirs is absolutely delicious. Great drink selection as well. They have multiple margarita flight options, both frozen and regular and these were delicious as well. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a fun night out!

This place is a vibe!!! We came on a Saturday evening with a party of 8 and had to wait about at hour. The place was poppin. Live music, lots a big groups, a very fun environment and the decor is fab. After we were seated our waiter was great. Very attentive and offered to split the check 8 ways. As food goes the quesabirria was awesome and so was the queso fundido. I got fish tacos and would not order again but I'm a huge fish taco fan and have tried them everywhere so I'm super critical of them. Just heard they are opening a location at 119th and Blackbob which I'm excited for!

What a pleasant surprise! For two reasons, 1) we were just here and this isn't a horribly late review and 2) the tequila selection was lit! Anyway my guy, our good friend, and I needed a spot to have lunch after Oppenheimer but before my girlfriend and I went to see Barbie. Viva was close by and a new spot we figured we'd try. So very glad we did! I'll be honest the décor was a bit out there/kitschy for my taste, but I could see the appeal of it. Agave sugar skull planter lights? Not my style but did not take anything away from the quality of service or the food! There were a couple of very large parties while we were there and never once did we feel like we were ignored, overlooked, etc. Now to the food: Chips and Salsa - OMG the salsa was delicious with just the right amount of heat for the house salsa. We also asked for a hot salsa, a habanero salsa, OMG sooo good. Guacamole - was fresh and for the small portion we ordered it was still a quite a bit and very good. The cocktails were very good, both the Herradura Select Double Barrel Reposado Margarita that I got, and the Berry Basil that our friend ordered. The entrees were all amazing - the Del Mar Molcajete is something I want to swim in OMG it was amazing. The heat was perfect without overpowering the other flavors. Our friend ordered the Texas Fajitas and the smell was to die for and she loved it. My guy ordered some burrito (wish I could tell you but we were deep into our first round of margaritas and weren't paying attention) and he inhaled the the whole thing. Overall an awesome experience and I'm already trying to figure out when we can be back next!!!
